Southern Center for Human Rights
Southern Center for Human Rights (SCHR) is a 40-year-old nonprofit law firm and advocacy organization representing individuals in the cause of social justice. Among its areas of focus are unfair sentencing, inmate rights and death row appeals.
Good Thinking’s new branding campaign included a new identity (mark and logotype), clarified messaging, original photography, as well as new website look, content and visual expression. We also provided them a printed “manifesto” and new graphic standard guide.
The logo, “On the Courthouse Steps,” symbolizes the path up from injustice and towards equal treatment under the law. Martin Luther King Jr. said in his famous I Have a Dream speech, the court of law is the “Oasis of Freedom and Justice” that every U.S. citizen is guaranteed. The fair market value of this project was estimated to be $125,000.
The Southern Center for Human Rights made a generous contribution to Good Thinking in return for its help. That money allowed us to continue our work in 2014, serving two new clients: GreenLaw and Georgia Appleseed.
